A Workshop with Henry Fogel
August 3-5, 2020

Workshop Format
The workshop will consist of mock interviews for one of two positions:
Music Director of a regional symphony
Assistant Conductor of a major symphony
Upon acceptance to the workshop, Participants will be notified with the names of the orchestras they will interview for. Participants will be asked to prepare a resume and cover letter, as well as sample programs appropriate to the positions. A list of exact program requirements will be provided in early July.

NOTE: These are mock openings for real-world positions. Participants will be expected to research the organizations and be prepared to answer questions specific to their current operations.
Participants will interview for positions, and the interviews will be followed by feedback from panelists and group discussion of strengths and areas for improvement. All conductors -- Participants and Auditors -- will receive the programming requirements. Auditors are encouraged to create season programs and share them with the faculty.
